Through the IDA Grant Program we issue billions of dollars in one-time awards to individuals and groups each year — for medical care, housing, business, education, and more.

People apply to IDA for one-time grant funding they never have to repay — whether they are closing a specific gap or funding something new. Open to all adults 18 and older. There is no income cap, no means test, and no requirement that you be in financial crisis. What an IDA award is

An IDA award is a one-time grant. If you are selected, you do not repay it, and applying does not create debt. If someone offers you an “IDA loan,” it is not this program. Confirm contact on our Verify page or write support@idagrantprogram.com.

How a file is handled

After you apply, a coordinator is assigned to your file. First contact is email within 24 hours. We may ask for more detail. Selected files receive next steps by email. Unselected files are still treated with respect — applying is not a waste of courage.
